  • Dr. K. Srinivasan is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Rank 62 in QS World Rankings 2023), Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), Chennai. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
  • He has held tenured/visiting faculty positions at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (click here to view pics of IITG campus in the early years) and the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago. Currently, his research group at Thermodynamics and Combustion Engineering Laboratory, IIT Madras is interested in areas such as Jet Flows, Aeroacoustics, Resonant Acoustics, Active/Passive Flow, and Noise Control. Professor Srinivasan is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India), Aeronautical Society of India, and Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS, UK).
  • He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and a Life Member of various professional societies; American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Physical Society, Indian Society for Technical Education, Combustion Institute (India), National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power, and Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer. He serves on the editorial boards of Applied Acoustics, Elsevier, and the International Journal of Aeroacoustics, SagePub.
