  • Dr. Abhishek Saini received his PhD from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to joining IIT Madras, he worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Razer (Asia-Pacific) Pte. Ltd., and held postdoctoral research positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA, and the Rolls-Royce@NTU Corporate Laboratory, Singapore.

  • Ultrasonic array, imaging, inversion, and ultrasound tomography, with applications including defect and microstructural characterization, thermal reconstruction, high-resolution imaging, Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE), and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM).
  • Wave propagation and scattering in complex heterogeneous and anisotropic materials.
  • Acoustic and elastic metamaterials for tailored wave control, localization, and enhanced-resolution imaging.
  • Applied AI/ML, explainable AI, Scientific ML for NDE and SHM, spanning fundamental theory to deployable real-world technologies.
