  • Dr. Advaith Sankar received his PhD from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore in 2020. He graduated with a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in 2013. Subsequently, he was with Hero Motocorp Ltd., Gurgaon, India. He was a postdoctoral researcher at University of Nottingham, UK before joining IIT Madras in May 2022.
  • His current research interests include renewable energy storage systems, machine learning applications towards energy systems and fluid flow, heat transfer and fluid flow diagnostics.

  • Outstanding Paper Award in 14th International Conference on Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Wicklow, Ireland, July 2019.
  • United Nations (UN) Youth Delegate in 21st session of the Youth Assembly held at the UN headquarters, New York, organized on the theme of ‘Innovation and Collaboration for a Sustainable World’ with a focus ‘Affordable and Clean Energy for everyone (SDG 7)’, February 2018.
