Mr. Abhijeet Kumar is a direct Ph.D scholar in Thermodynamics and Combustion Engines Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras. He is currently working with Dr. Srikrishna Sahu on the experimental investigtion of the liquid jet breakup unsteadiness in a coaxial air blast atomizer sponsored by Aeronautical Research Division Board (ARDB), India. Prior to joining IIT in January 2015, he did B.Tech from BIT Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand in 2014.

Mr. Arnab Chakraborty is an M.S. (by research) scholar in the department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Madras (Chennai). He is currently working with Dr. Srikrishna Sahu on experimental studies on sprays and atomization in high speed gas turbine engines sponsored by GTRE- DRDO. Previously he did his M.Tech in Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture at IIT Kharagpur. Before that, he was a graduate engineer in the Emerson Electric, Noida where he was responsible for designing the power plants. He completed his B.E in Power Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Mr. Chakraborty is the recipient of prestigious S.N.Bose Fellowship for conducting part of his M.Tech research in the U.S.A. in 2017.

S M Ali has completed his B.Tech in Production Engineering from NIT Calicut in 2014. He has joined the integrated M.S-PhD programme in Aerospace Engineering in 2014 at IIT Madras. Currently, he is working on the development of a new strategy for optimization of simplified kinetic mechanisms for non-premixed flames. The ultimate goal of work is to develop a simplified kinetic mechanism for prediction of emissions from practical combustors working on biomass gasification derived fuels.
